Justin at Marine Surveyors & Consultants Vanuatu had the pleasure of supporting a hydrographic survey project to gather data for the production of new BA charts for Port Resolution and Sulphur Bay on the island of Tanna in Vanuatu.

We supported a large global surveying company (EGS), on this project. Our objective was to locate and secure a suitable vessel for the job, rig up the transducer heads on a specially designed bracket which we built and fitted in house and then captain the vessel for the survey work.

In addition to this we assisted with rigging up tidal gauges and control points in several locations on the island. The project was successful and new charts have been now been produced for public use.
